Privacy notice
Updated October 23, 2026. This notice covers hosting, browser-local preferences, and optional analytics.
What the tools process
Color values, palette calculations, contrast checking, Unicode searches, and symbol copying run locally in your browser. The website does not send these values to a LuckyHueLab application server.
Local browser storage
Your last selected color, favorite Unicode characters/combinations, and any text you put in the combination builder may be stored using your browser's localStorage. This lets your preferences persist when you revisit from the same browser. Clearing this website's storage removes those preferences. These settings are not synchronized to an account. The combination editor can be cleared using its Clear button.
Hosting and technical logs
This website is hosted using Cloudflare Pages. As with most hosting services, the hosting provider may process technical request information, such as IP addresses, timestamps, and requested resources, to deliver and secure the website. Review the hosting provider's privacy materials for information about its handling of that data.
Analytics and choices
When configured by the site operator, this site offers optional Google Analytics 4. The Google Analytics script loads only after you select Allow analytics in our consent interface. If you decline, we do not load it. You can reopen Analytics settings in the footer at any time to change your choice. Your choice is stored in localStorage, not in a LuckyHueLab account.
If allowed, Google Analytics may collect information including page views, approximate geography, device/browser information, referring sources, engagement, and which type of website action succeeded (for example, a color copied or a symbol copied). We deliberately do not send the actual HEX values, copied symbols, search terms, or custom composition text in our custom events. Google processes this information under its own policies: Google Privacy Policy.
Cloudflare Web Analytics may also be enabled to measure page usage and performance independently, using Cloudflare's privacy-focused beacon. Read the Cloudflare privacy policy for hosting and measurement processing details.
We do not currently serve advertising. If advertisements are introduced, this notice and our consent implementation must be reviewed and updated for the new technology and applicable legal requirements.

The website may link to other sites, which operate under their own privacy policies. Following a link leaves LuckyHueLab's website.
Changes
This notice may change when new capabilities, analytics, or advertisements are introduced. The updated version will include a new effective date. A public operator contact channel will be added before the production launch.
